About us

Over 400 years ago, the intoxicating aroma of spices drew the Portuguese to a tiny island overflowing with beauty. The settlers, who temporarily made it their home, carved their mark on a rock and named this paradise Ceilao.
Our family carefully handpicked locations for our holiday homes, each one reflecting our love for the island. As time passed, work and studies kept us overseas, but we decided to open our doors to travelers, so they too could experience the spaces we had lovingly created.
As a family, we have always been drawn to the seaside, which inspired the creation of our beach villa in the charming village of Kabalana, Ahangama. My father's passion for wildlife led to the establishment of Kirinda Lodge, located on the border of Yala National Park. Over the years, we developed more villas in Ahangama, a special place that captured our hearts. The pristine beauty of Ahangama Beach, with its serene atmosphere and crystal-clear waters, inspired us to create more villas in the area. We wanted to share the peace and natural elegance of this coastal gem with others, while preserving its tranquil charm.
There are no set meal times and no dress code. Here, you're not just a guest—you're part of our family in your home away from home, Ceilao Villas.
The Villas
Our minimalist and modern villas are designed with teak, cement, and terrazzo interiors, complemented by natural, on-trend furnishings. With open spaces and private swimming pools, each villa offers a perfect blend of style and comfort.
Every villa features a spacious living and dining area, air-conditioned bedrooms, and inviting outdoor spaces. A professional staff of four—including a butler, chef, and overnight security—are dedicated to providing exceptional service. They welcome guests with the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay.
